Red Dog Technologies partnered with BrightRidge to locate a Bitcoin data center in the New Salem community near Brights Zoo. David Bright, zoo director, complained the noise pollution from the data center can throw animals off balance. Besides, the community has to push the school kids on field trips to another Zoo which is an hour from Brights. Washington Country commissioners filed a lawsuit about this. A proposed settlement could move the Bitcoin data center to the Washington Country Industrial Park which is over 2 miles from Brights Zoo.
