Canaan, a pioneer in the cryptocurrency mining industry, has showcased its commitment to innovation with the unveiling of the Avalon 14 series miners. During the “Avalon Bitcoin & Crypto Day,” Canaan introduced the A1466I, a miner that achieves remarkable energy efficiency with a rating below 20 J/T, and boasts an impressive hashrate of up to 170TH/s for SHA256 mining.
One of the standout features of the A1466I is its innovative cooling system, with two distinct options catering to different mining environments. The first option is a submerged liquid-cooled model, which not only maintains optimal operating temperatures but also contributes to the miner’s energy efficiency and longevity. The second option is the A1466, an air-cooled miner that offers a substantial hashrate of 150 TH/s with an energy efficiency ratio of 21.5 J/T.
From Canaan’s official website, we can see the promotion information about the Avalon 14 series orders. Canaan is encouraging the buyers to sign MOUs and make deposits to lock the limited quantity before September 21, 2023. The price is 1x/T and the minimum hasrhate order is 480P, meaning at least 2823 units of A1466I. The available models of the Avalon 14 series include A1446, A1466, A1466I. The first batch delivery will happen in Q1 of 2024, besides more discounts will be awarded for the final payments. Unprecedentedly, Canaan will allow the refund for the orders before September 21, 2023, as it’s the first time in the industry that a refund action is allowed without any reason.
The unveiling of the Avalon 14 series holds particular significance for Canaan as it marks the company’s 10th anniversary. Canaan’s early entry into the cryptocurrency mining market in 2013, with the release of the first publicly sold ASIC bitcoin miners under the Avalon brand, played a pivotal role in shaping the ASIC mining industry and the overall cryptocurrency ecosystem.
