According to the official EOS plan, EOS will undergo a token swap to a new token, A, at a 1:1 ratio. OKX has announced its support for this swap and released the following detailed schedule:
- May 17, 18:00 (UTC+8): EOS margin borrowing will be suspended.
- May 21, 16:00–18:00 (UTC+8): EOS/USDT margin trading will be paused, and all open margin orders will be canceled. Users are advised to return borrowed tokens or settle collaterals before the service is discontinued.
- May 22, 16:00 (UTC+8): EOS/USDT and EOS/USD perpetual contracts will be delisted. All trades will be halted and open orders canceled. The final settlement price will be the arithmetic average of the OKX index price over the hour before delisting.
- May 26, 11:00–12:00 (UTC+8): EOS spot trading pairs (EOS/USDT, EOS/USDC, EOS/USD, EOS/EUR) will be delisted and all open spot orders will be canceled. Related services, including Convert, Copy Trading, and Strategy Trading, will also be paused.
- May 26, 12:00–13:00 (UTC+8): EOS deposit, withdrawal, and internal transfer functions will be disabled.
- May 27, 08:00 (UTC+8): OKX will take a snapshot of users’ EOS balances across funding and trading accounts for the token swap.
- May 27, 08:00 – May 28, 18:00 (UTC+8): EOS will be swapped to A. While OKX will strive to complete the swap within this timeframe, delays may occur due to coordination with the project team and other factors.
Following the completion of the swap, a separate announcement will detail the launch schedule for the new token A, including its trading and deposit/withdrawal availability.
Additional Notes:
- EOS in pending deposits or withdrawals at the time of the snapshot will not be included.
- Assets in sub-accounts will be swapped and credited to the main account.
- Holdings of less than 1 EOS at the time of the snapshot will not qualify for the swap.
- During the swap period, EOS will not be priced, and once the swap is completed, EOS will be removed from asset lists and replaced by A in eligible accounts.
OKX advises all users to take appropriate actions ahead of the deadlines to avoid any disruptions.
