According to the reporter Brian Pascus, he learned from New York Mayor that Eric Adams is going to ask to veto the crypto mining bill. He tweeted the information about it on 14th June 2022.

In June, the New York State Senate passed the bill that proof-of-work ( POW) will be stopped for 2 years due to environmental concerns, called a two-year moratorium. During the moratorium, the senate will study how the proof-of-working will impact the environment.
